I've installed 9.1 Pro as dual-boot on a PC and now it won't boot Windows. In fact, I installed on two Dell machines. Both were already dual-boot, and both had two hard drives - one with WinXP and the other running (until now) Mandrake 10CE. In both cases I did a fresh install. On one machine it all went flawlessly

There are indeed some situations where dual booting is still useful. I agree that that was a stupid claim. I was just wondering about my above suggestion. Would this be a viable option. Sarmad, you cannot install windows xp and then windows 2000 to dual boot. It simply would not work. To dual boot sucessfully first create two partitions on your hard drive (one for each operating system) then install Windows 2000 first. After you have installed Windows 2000 then you can install Windows XP.

Since I do not plan to use 3rd party software such as PartitionMagic, I would like to know if W2K's dual-boot functionality *completely* satisfies the above rule (?). So, you should install Win98SE first. After than, install NT on a separate partition using NTFS. At least, that's how you should do it with dual booting
